Technical Manager
 
Job Summary
Technical support on client or program requirements related to (QMS) quality management system including SQP (Supplier Qualification Program), chemical safety and restricted substances management. And interpret the chemical related regulatory requirements, well verse in the related chemicals (inorganic) and their impacts on environment.
Work with product or account manager on new program set up
Deliver training for local office or local trainer
Office staff with occasional travel for audits or training delivery

Duties & responsibilities
Provide or draft technical advice to clients and global product or account manager
Work with product or account manager on new program set up
Deliver training for local office or local trainer
Communicate with client directly and clarify audit related requirements
Assist audit report review for pilot audits (cross country/regional report)
Assist to follow up with client requirements by review, comment, clarification and updates to internal files
Maintain internal guidance and audit files on Sharepoint
Assist on delivering internal, external and in-house training services related to audits
Maintain internal guidance on public database
Conduct QMS/SQP audits occasionally
Other tasks and responsibilities assigned by superior

Job Requirement
Bachelor degree or above in science/technical (e.g. manufacturing, engineering, chemical) 
At least 5 years of Quality/Security/Health and Safety/Environment or related auditing working experience directly related to the relevant industry (e.g., hardlines, toys, softlines/garment, footwear). This shall involve works in quality assurance associated with factory evaluations, pre-qualification of suppliers or supplier improvement process, technical management, product development or product safety functions related to manufacturing and retail
With one year project or account management experience is preferred
At least 2 years of experience on technical training
ISO9000 qualified lead auditor or successfully completed a training course in BRC / Risk Assessment / HACCP/OC080000 qualified lead auditor or successfully completed a training course in RoHS / HACCP / Risk Assessment / REACH
Have lab testing experience, be familiar with ISO17025 operation and testing equipment operation i.e. ICP, GCMS, etc.
Be familiar with the various restricted substance requirement and directive from EU (i.e. EN71) and US (ASTM, CPSC, etc.)
Fluent in English speaking, good command of reading and writing
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good presentation skill
Have high sense of business service
